Working with the ol' "Red Rooster"...

As many of you know, Jim & Marti's American roots show, Red Rooster Party, airs on WHUS each Sunday from 2-4PM, just prior to the Bluegrass Cafe. This Sunday, however, J & M are taking a much-deserved break, and so, have asked me to fill for them. My record collection is not nearly as expansive as that of Jim & Marti, though, so my plans are to play some of those great old country records of the 1940s, 1950s, and 1960s. In fact, my "cutoff date" for tunes to play will be 1970. Unless you subscribe to some type of satellite radio service, you probably don't get to hear these great old country singers (i.e. Faron Young, Hank Williams, Carl Smith, Ray Price, the Louvin Brothers, Marty Robbins, Kitty Wells) on commercial radio very much (if ever). Please join us from 2-4PM for Red Rooster Party, and then, from 4-7PM, we'll play plenty of great BG tunes, both new and old on the Bluegrass Cafe.

For those who visited the WHUS tent at Podunk last weekend, thanks! We'll be drawing a winner or two from those names submitted at the table this week during the BG Cafe.

We hope you'll join us on Sunday afternoon --

Amy
