Birthday Boy Jim (and Marti, too) did an excellent job paying tribute to fellow August 27th birthday boys Carter Stanley & J.D. Crowe on yesterday's show. I got to listen to parts of the show on my way home from the outstanding Pickin' in the Pasture festival in Lodi, NY. Kudos to UCONN alum Andy Alexander, his wife, Susan, and son, Jesse -- they do a fabulous job putting together this festival at their sheep farm in New York's Finger Lakes region, and the talent lineup there is second to none. I'll post more about PIP later this week (and hopefully, a few pictures, as well), before I head to Thomas Point on Thursday.
