Sunday's Bluegrass Cafe featured three hours' worth of fine Bluegrass music, including a post-birthday tribute to one-half of possibly the greatest brother duet in the history of music; and if that wasn't enough, we also included LOTS of new music. It was a fun show, so sure hope you were able to join us.
Ira Lonnie Loudermilk (April 20, 1924 - June 20, 1965) was considered as sort of the "hothead" of the Louvin Brothers,
New music played a very large part in our programming on Sunday. We featured a full half-hour of brand-new music from several performers, including Balsam Range, Alison Brown & Steve Martin (with Tim O'Brien), the ETSU Bluegrass Pride Band, Darren Nicholson, the Kody Norris Show, Missy Raines & Allegheny, Shelton & Williams, Junior Sisk, and the Special Consensus. In addition, there was recent music from Becky Buller, Carter & Cleveland, Joe Mullins & the Radio Ramblers, and the Seldom Scene.
