Today also happens to be the birth anniversary of Clarence Eugene Snow -- better known to the Country Music World

as Hank Snow (May 9, 1914 - December 20, 1999). Though he had a pretty wretched childhood while growing up with an abusive stepfather in Nova Scotia, Canada, Hank Snow certainly made his mark in the world of Country Music with a nearly 50-year-membership at the Grand Ole Opry, enshrinement in the Country Music Hall of Fame, and dozens of hit records which have become classics. Hank Snow songs are still often covered by Bluegrass performers, too, so we heard a whole bunch of them in our extended Hank Snow set.
There was a tiny bit of newer music to share, as well, with selections from Matt Dudman, Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver, and Danny Paisley & the Southern Grass.
