| M is for Big Mon |
On this first Sunday of August, our Letter of the Week was "M." That meant a whole bunch of Bill Monroe, and a whole host of other magnificent and marvelous Bluegrass performers whose first, last, or band names start with a "M," including Del McCoury, Lynn Morris, Patrick McAvinue, Joe Mullins & the Radio Ramblers, Dwight McCall, Mountain Faith, Alan Munde, Muleskinner, Charlie Moore, Charlie Monroe, and Jim & Jesse (McReynolds). Another "M" Bluegrass Hall of Famer would have turned 90 on August 10th, so we shared a few of his songs, too: Jimmy Martin.

This day also happens to be the 62nd wedding anniversary of two very important people I know quite well: my parents, Alton and Eleanor Orlomoski. They were remembered in this playlist, too, as I shared a few songs from some of their favorite performers.
And lest we forget, the Podunk Bluegrass Festival happens this coming weekend in Hebron, CT. We included one full set of music from a few of the fine performers coming to Connecticut. Hope to see you at Podunk next weekend!
