"Bluegrass Cafe" playlist - 1/6/2008

Sunday's show was our first BG Cafe for 2008 -- Happy New Year! Last week, Jim played some of the new music from Rhonda Vincent's Good Thing Going, as well as the super-highly anticipated, self-titled Dailey & Vincent debut on Rounder. There's been a good bit of hype about this band and its first CD, and so far, it sure doesn't seem to be overrated. We also included older music from a new CD called Old Bones by banjo great Alan Munde. So far, 2008 seems like a promising year for the new Bluegrass.

We also celebrated the 84th birthday of the King of the Banjo, Earl Scruggs, born on January 6, 1924.
