While we had great weather this day to support holiday weekend activities, we honored the reason for the Memorial Day holiday by playing songs throughout this show about the sons and daughters who did not return from wars.
As this show was about to begin, we became aware of the dire status of American guitar legend, Doc Watson, and opened the show with one of his classic tunes. (Doc passed away two days later on May 29th.)
New music included songs from Larry Stephenson, MA group Acoustic Blue, CT/NY group Too Blue, The Boxcars, The Steep Canyon Rangers, The Grascals, Randy Jones, Bob Amos, Travers Chandler & Avery County, Heather Berry & Tony Mabe, The Spinney Brothers, and Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver.
