Bluegrass Cafe was a full blown music show this past Sunday since we didn't have to ask you for money. Thank you for being loyal listeners, bluegrass fans, and helping WHUS and Bluegrass Cafe make our Radiothon goal the previous two weekends.
We played some great new music from the likes of Dailey & Vincent; Wayne Taylor & Appaloosa; a group of musicians recording for Cracker Barrel that included Ronnie McCoury, Stuart Duncan, Richard Bailey, and David Grier; and some near-new music from Balsam Range, Pam Gadd, and Audie Blaylock.
I again dug into my old LP collection and played some rare gems from Bill Lowe, The Southern Mountain Boys, Ron Thomason, The Johnson Mountain Boys, and New England bluegrass pioneer Fred Pike.
