Happy Mother's Day! It was a gorgeous Spring day in eastern Connecticut on this second Sunday of May -- a perfect day for Mom! During our Bluegrass Cafe, we honored mother with all sorts of songs about her -- nearly three full hours' worth. Hope you were able to join us.

We also remembered the late Gloria Belle (June 9, 1939 - May 5, 2023), who happened to be one of the pioneering female band leaders and singers in Bluegrass history. If you'd like to know more about the life of this remarkable woman (as well as hear/see a lot of excellent sound clips of her music), visit the Bluegrass Today obituary that was recently published.
We still found a tiny bit of time to enjoy some brand new (older) music from a wonderful Bluegrass band that would celebrate 50 years as a band in 2023: Virginia's Lost & Found. They have a new-yet-old record soon-to-be released later this month on Mountain Fever Records, so we shared a trio of tunes from that record. We also shared newer music from Dan Tyminski, Songs From The Road Band, Stephen Wade, Special Consensus, and Larry Sparks.
