Happy New Year! The first Bluegrass Cafe to hit the airwaves in 2022 was actually a "home-made" show recorded in the last hours of 2021 and completed shortly after the new year had arrived. Our goal for 2022 is to provide more live presentations of our show than recorded ones, but we'll do what we need to do to get through this ongoing pandemic.
We spent the first portion of our show remembering several of the many Bluegrass performers who died during 2021, with special focus on the great J.D. Crowe (August 27, 1937 - December 24, 2021). We are grateful for the many talents of those no longer with us, and we'll continue to share their music during our program in the weeks and months ahead.
And, as we often feature during our first broadcasts of the year, we couldn't forget the music of the legendary Hank Williams (September 17, 1927 - January 1, 1953).
