Bluegrass festivals are back! While things aren't quite exactly the same as they were "BC" (before COVID), the fact is that there will be some live Bluegrass events happening this summer, including the Podunk Bluegrass Festival in August in Goshen, CT and a Jenny Brook "mini fest" in October in Tunbridge, VT. We are looking forward to these events, for certain, but in the meantime, it was fun to share about 90 minutes' worth of music that was recorded live over the years during today's Bluegrass Cafe.
In addition to live-recorded music, we shared several songs in memory of Tony Rice (June 8, 1951 - December 25, 2020), and we celebrated the birthday of Jamie Dailey (born June 9, 1975). And we included one selection in celebration of Flag Day (June 14th).
There was a little bit of new music to share on Sunday, too, including selections from projects by Merle Monroe, the Farm Hands, the Wilson Banjo Company, Jesse Brock, the Crowe Brothers, and Joe Mullins & the Radio Ramblers.
