"Bluegrass Cafe" playlist - 3/27/2016

Happy Easter!  With all of the UConn Basketball playoffs and Baseball games in recent weeks, this turned out to be our first full three-hour Bluegrass Cafe in just about a month.  Hope you enjoyed your holiday...and some Bluegrass, too!

Coming soon...and is that a mostly-covered WHUS bumper
sticker I see on the banjo case?

We put a little bit of an emphasis on recordings that have been released late in 2015 or early in 2016.  In some cases, the records haven't yet been released, but will be soon -- and there was even one song that won't see the full record released until 2017!  This music came to us from the Grascals, Circa Blue, Charm City Junction, Laurie Lewis & the Right Hands, the Boxcars, the Lonesome River Band, the Wyatt Rice & Dan Menzone Alliance, Sister Sadie, Flashback, Junior Sisk & Ramblers Choice, and the Spinney Brothers.

Happy Birthday, Paul Williams (on the left).

We also celebrated the upcoming 81st birthday of Bluegrass Hall of Famer, Paul Williams (born March 30, 1935).  Paul Williams is responsible for writing a whole bunch of songs that are considered Bluegrass standards in a musical career that spans 60+ years, plus his tenor singing has only improved over the course of his career.  Amazing.

Hope you all had a wonderful holiday with your family and friends.  We hope to have another three-hour Bluegrass Cafe edition next Sunday afternoon, but if not, we'll certainly let you know.

Have a good week!
