"Bluegrass Cafe" playlist - 2/14/2016

Look high and low, but you're not
likely to find a more positive
Bluegrass "love" album than this.

On this Valentine's Day edition of Bluegrass Cafe, our sort of unofficial theme was "sunshine and roses."  We also threw in quite a few "heart" songs -- whether those hearts were filled with love or broken by a lost love.

Joe Val (1926-1985)

During this weekend, the 31st annual Joe Val Bluegrass Festival was taking place in nearby Framingham, Massachusetts.  We heard songs from a few of the JV performers this year, including Junior Sisk & Ramblers Choice, the Spinney Brothers, Del McCoury, and the Gibson Brothers.  For good measure, we also shared a few songs from the one-and-only Joe Val.
