On this beautiful summer day we had a full plate of newer bluegrass music, and a few jewels from years past.
A couple of weeks ago I had a request for music from the Phipps Family. I put that on this week featuring a few tracks from a couple of the Phipps Family albums throughout the program.
Other newer music included songs from Taylors Grove (who have a nice write-up in the July issue of Bluegrass Unlimited,) NewFound Road, Larry Stephenson, The Grascals, Ralph Stanley II, Stetson & Cia, Sweet Potato Pie, Marty Raybon, The Tennessee Mafia Jug Band, Bob Amos, Jimmy Gaudreau & Moondi Klein, John Bowman, and The Spinney Brothers.Besides the Phipps Family, our Heritage Corner selections included music from Mac Martin, Charlie Moore, The McCormick Brothers, Doc & Merle Watson, and The Dillards.
