"Bluegrass Cafe" playlist - 6/22/2008

As Jim mentioned last week, Sunday's show featured Guest DJ #5 at BG Cafe -- Phil Robert [selections noted below in GREEN]. Phil claimed to be pretty nervous before he hit the airwaves during the 5PM hour, but you certainly couldn't hear it in his voice. He did a fine job, as have all of our Guest DJs. It's been great fun listening to the music picked out by all of our Guest DJs -- thanks to all of you who've taken your turn at the mic!

Included on Sunday's show was a bit of new music from the likes of Dan Tyminski (Wheels on Rounder), as well as the Chapmans, and a track from a forthcoming gospel project on Rural Rhythm from the newly-renamed Cody Shuler & Pine Mountain Railroad. We look forward to playing lots more from these performers, as well as the other new music that's always arriving at WHUS.

We also tried to feature music from a few of the performers who'll be at the Jenny Brook Bluegrass Festival this coming weekend -- June 26-29. There is a terrific lineup at this Weston, VT event -- I'll try to post more details in a separate entry later this week....
