There were lots of mid-February Bluegrass birthdays to celebrate on this day, as well, as we played songs from Mark Newton, Claire Lynch, and four important Bluegrass banjo pickers: Little Roy Lewis, Don Reno, Ralph Stanley, and Pete Wernick.
New music was highlighted from the likes of Michael Cleveland, Starlett & Big John, Daryl Mosley, Chris Jones & the Night Drivers, and Audie Blaylock & Redline.
And we pulled out the "Spotlight Letter" occasional feature this week. Letter F (for "February") was chosen, and to that end, we shared music from "F" performers including Front Range, Flatt Lonesome, Bela Fleck, Lester Flatt (of course!), Aaron Foster, Feller & Hill, Front Range, Rick Faris, the Forbes Family, the Feinberg Brothers, and several others.
