"Bluegrass Cafe" playlist - 3/8/2020

On this International Women's Day, our three-hour broadcast was reduced by nearly two-thirds, as we offered a 67 minute radio program following a UConn Women's Basketball tournament game.  Still, we packed in almost 20 songs during our shortened show -- songs featuring lots and lots of great Bluegrass Women!

Ideally, we would have included several more women performers than we did, but here's a list of those who were:  Tina Adair, Phyllis Boyens, Dale Ann Bradley, Becky Buller, Wilma Lee Cooper, Evelyn Cox, Suzanne Cox, Tammy Fassaert, Lillian Fraker, Lorraine Jordan, Kathy Kallick, Alison Krauss, Laurie Lewis, Corrina Rose Logston Stephens, Hazel McGee, Lynn Morris, Lauren Price Napier, Leanna Price, Myrna Riquier, Annie Staninec, April Stevens, Beth Stevens, Vickie Vaughn, Rhonda Vincent, Cheryl White, Sharon White Skaggs, and Jeanette Williams.  Unfortunately, we missed several other notable female performers, including the Carter Family, Lewis Family, and Hazel & Alice, but all in all, I think we did okay, and illustrated that girls can certainly play the Bluegrass, too.  Hope you enjoyed 'em!  

Not sure if there will be any sports preemptions next Sunday (March 15th), but we will be sure to let you know as soon as we know.
