Hello everyone!
Welcome to our brand-spanking new blog for the Bluegrass Cafe! If you're wondering what the Bluegrass Cafe is, here's a quick description: we are a 3-hour radio show that broadcasts each week from WHUS (University of Connecticut - Storrs). Our airtime is Sundays, 4:00-7:00PM EST. WHUS has included bluegrass programming in its very eclectic lineup for nearly 25 years, so who says Connecticut Yankees don't like bluegrass? If you're in our southern New England listening area, check us out the "old-fashioned" way at 91.7 on your FM dial. If you don't live close enough to Storrs to pick up a clear radio signal, try listening to us at www.whus.org.
In this blog, we aim to provide information on area bluegrass shows and festivals, organizations, and bands, as well as let you know what's happening at the Bluegrass Cafe.
We always enjoy hearing from listeners, but if you're not able to call us at the station during the show's airtime (860-429-9487), we invite you to drop us an email anytime (BGCafeRequests@yahoo.com).
We'll look forward to hearing from you soon.
