"Bluegrass Cafe" playlist - 3/22/2009 RADIOTHON WEEK #2

Well....it's over, and once again, we're completely AMAZED!! All of you helped us to reach our station-set 2-week goal of $2,900, and for that, we are extremely grateful! Thanks so much!!

(If you're curious, the dollar amount we raised during our two weeks of Radiothon helped us retain the "crown" of #1 Listener-Supported Music Program at WHUS. While this won't get us a better parking spot or more hours on the air, it's always fun for us to know that our listeners enjoy what they're hearing so much!)

The majority of the music we played was from CDs that were available for pledges during Radiothon. While we still had a pretty decent selection of available titles during Week #2, Jim & I both took the opportunity to raid our own collections at home and each of us found a couple of duplicates we could share as premiums. That was a lot of fun, and we sincerely hope you enjoy whatever CDs and goodies you receive as thank-you gifts for your pledges.

Please note that if you made a pledge for a copy of the not-yet-released Dailey & Vincent CD called "Brothers From Different Mothers" -- and about 20 of you did -- those CDs have to be special ordered from Rounder by our Business Manager at WHUS. Please allow a bit of extra time to receive those premiums, and your patience is much appreciated.

Thanks again to all of the record labels and performers for donating their CDs to us to use for Radiothon, and an extra special thanks to yesterday's phone operators: Clyde, Scott, Marti, and new WHUS show host, Aaron Price.

Jim & Marti join you in the Cafe next Sunday. Expect to hear lots of music and not-so-much talk on the airwaves.

Thanks again!!!!
