"Bluegrass Cafe" playlist - 3/15/2009 -- RADIOTHON WEEK #1

Whew! We survived our first week of Radiothon 2009 on Sunday's show -- hope you did, too. I know that it can be frustrating to hear so little music on the air during Radiothon, but we appreciate your support and, of course, patience. As you may have heard or read, the station's goal this year is to raise $25,000 between now and March 22nd in order to actually complete our music library. Any help you can give us in any dollar amount is greatly appreciated.

Special thanks to everyone who made a pledge to the BG Cafe on March 15th! In our three hours, we had close to 40 donors and raised just under $1,500 to put toward the station's overall weekly goal, so we're quite pleased. There would be no point for us to even have a BG Cafe if we didn't have some great (and generous!) listeners every week. Thanks!!

If you haven't yet had an opportunity to make a pledge to WHUS and/or the BG Cafe, you'll probably have another chance on Sunday, March 22nd. At this point, we're unsure of what time the UCONN Women's Basketball team will be playing in the NCAA tournament, but we'll know more after tonight. There's always a chance that the BG show will be preempted for basketball, but we'll let you know for sure as soon as we know.

We missed the vacationing Jim & Marti yesterday, but they'll be back in studio with us next Sunday. Thanks to Dave Murray for helping out yesterday, as well as our fine phone operators: my mother, Eleanor, Clyde Proch, & Scott Farrar. We hope you'll join us once more next Sunday.

Thanks again!!

Amy
