RIBGMA on TV in eastern CT

For those who receive their cable TV service from Charter Communications in Windham, CT, you may be interested in seeing Rich Guilbault, President of the Rhode Island Bluegrass Music Association on Charter's own local production, "On The Homefront" on Saturday, September 30th at 2PM. This show airs on Charter cable channel 14, and is hosted by our very own WHUS General Manager, John Murphy.

In this interview (taped September 13, 2006), Rich talks about the newly-formed RIBGMA, his goals for the organization, and two shows that are happening this fall which are sponsored (in part) by RIBGMA. One of them -- BIG SUNDAY BLUEGRASS -- happens on October 8th, and features Wildfire, the Windy Creek Bluegrass Band, and Pine Mountain Railroad. If you listen to the BG Cafe, you've, no doubt, heard us talking about this show for the last few months. If you need more information, see our earlier blog entry. The second RIBGMA-sponsored show happens on Sunday, November 5th at the Plainfield Town Hall in Plainfield, CT, and will feature Dan Paisley & the Southern Grass and the Bear Bridge Band. Be assured we'll be talking all about that November show both here on the blog and on the air in the coming weeks....

Be sure to catch this interview, if you can. Thanks to Murph, Myrna, Charter, and "On The Homefront" for spotlighting this new organization.

Amy
