"Bluegrass Cafe" playlist - 7/19/2020

Ah, mid-July!  In a normal year, lots of us would be thinking of doing some traveling right around now -- or maybe pondering a vacation from which we had just returned.  In this year of COVID-19, though, a lot of folks have had their travel plans cancelled and/or greatly modified, so instead of actually traveling, we opened Sunday's Bluegrass Cafe with songs that mention travel.

Other "features" for Sunday's show included thirteen songs with the common theme of "letters" (inspired by a Facebook post by Eric Gibson where he was thinking about several great songs about letters), a look back at an old New England band, Thunder Mountain Bluegrass, and birthday songs to honor Bluegrass Hall of Famer, Bobby Hicks (born July 21, 1933), as well as future Hall of Famer, Alison Krauss (born July 23, 1971).

Hope you were able to tune in to the show this week, but if not, we'll be back again next Sunday, 4-7PM.  If you have any questions about these COVID-19 shows, please feel free to send an email to me at bgcafe@gmail.com.  Kindly give our Facebook page a "like," too, if you are so inclined.

Have a good week, and stay healthy!

Amy O.
