Hi Folks.

Cathy Bumgarner Day

 We had a special show today as we had a WHUS bluegrass DJ from a couple decades ago return to the microphone along with her son.  Cathy Bumgarner Day and Keegan Day were guest DJs, and did a great job.  My intent is to have Cathy and Keegan assume my duties on Bluegrass Cafe when I move away sometime next year.

Most of the selections were picked by Cathy and Keegan, but I was able to slip a few things into the show such as a new disc from Shad Cobb and Charlie Cushman, and a tribute to the late Bob Mavian -- a New England bluegrass stalwart who would have had his 80th birthday 10/29/16.

Cathy and Keegan remembered Sonny Osborne who had his 79th birthday also on 10/29/16 by playing a couple of Osborne Brothers classics.

Be sure to tune in next Sunday when Amy will make the banjos and fiddles ring.
