"Bluegrass Cafe" playlist - 10/23/2016

Sunday's edition of Bluegrass Cafe included a few newer songs from new and some not-as-new performers, songs played in celebration of several Bluegrass birthdays, and even a few songs that were suggested by the "shuffle" function on my iPod.

There are lots of fine birthday celebrants in the World of Bluegrass during this week, including Eric Gibson (October 23rd), Larry Stephenson and Bob Amos (October 24th), Fred Pike and Joe Mullins (October 27th), and Martha Adcock and Sonny Osborne (October 29th).  Happy Birthday to all of them!

Among the new for this week were a couple of new songs from performers we've heard from in recent weeks (Balsam Range, Michael Cleveland, the Gibson Brothers), as well as newer music from recordings we haven't previously heard at WHUS.  Some of those songs came to us from Kenny & Amanda Smith, the Del McCoury Band, and the debut single from the East Tennessee State University Bluegrass Pride Band.  Hope you enjoyed the new this week!
