"Bluegrass Cafe" playlist - 7/28/2024

As we opened last Sunday's Bluegrass Cafe, we played a few songs written by the late Bluegrasser, Ron Spears (July 28, 1953 - March 22, 2023).  It's hard to think of too many successful Bluegrassers born in the State of Utah, but Ron Spears was one of them -- and a very talented singer and songwriter he was.  

The Podunk Bluegrass Festival is coming up very soon, so we took some time mid-show to have a telephone chat with one of the Podunk performers for 2024:  Nick Chandler of Nick Chandler & Delivered.  Mr. Chandler will be performing on the Thursday and Friday of Podunk on the Main Stage, and he will also be conducting a mandolin workshop.  For a full look at the Podunk lineup, please visit their website ~ and we'll see you in Goshen!

We included a tiny bit of brand-new or recent Bluegrass tunes from several performers, as well, including tunes from Nick Chandler & Delivered, the Price Sisters, Fast Track, Chris Jones, Steve Thomas & the Time Machine, the Po' Ramblin' Boys, Authentic Unlimited, and Blue Highway.
