"Bluegrass Cafe" playlist - 12/9/2018

Sunday's Bluegrass Cafe featured a bunch of favorite recordings of 2018, a bit of Christmas music, and a whole lot more.  Hope you were able to join us!

Among the 2018 selections we shared was a bunch of favorite music from the year, including selections from the John Duffey tribute record, the Del McCoury Band, the Kathy Kallick Band, High Fidelity, Junior Sisk, the Feinberg Brothers, Bill & the Belles, Mickey Galyean & Cullen's Bridge, Becky Buller, Roland White, Sister Sadie, Balsam Range, and the gospel compilation of songs written by Rick Lang.  We even included a brand new Christmas song from a brand new band, Merle Monroe.

In addition there was music from a forthcoming recording by a young band called Dreamcatcher.  To those of us who have attended Bluegrass festivals in the northeast over the past couple of decades, the young man who is heading up Dreamcatcher is a familiar face:  guitar picker Aaron Foster of New York.  Nice to see bands formed by young kids who were always found picking at Bluegrass festivals.
