"Bluegrass Cafe" playlist - 6/29/2014

walk down Memory Lane at a Saturday Jenny Brook workshop.

This past weekend, I spent 4 1/2 days in lovely Tunbridge, Vermont at the outstanding Jenny Brook Bluegrass Festival.  I came back to eastern Connecticut on Sunday morning, fresh with the sounds of favorite bands I'd seen perform in Vermont (Gibson Brothers, Spinney Brothers, the Boxcars), as well as bands I'd heard but had never previously seen, like Feller & Hill & the Bluegrass Buckaroos and Bob Amos & Catamount Crossing.  It was an absolutely outstanding time, and if you happened to miss it, here's a little piece about the festival from Burlington, Vermont TV station, WCAX.  Great stuff!  Click the video link in this story...

Other music featured on Sunday included brand-spanking new music from Missy Werner (her self-produced recording is "Turn This Heart Around"), as well as newer music from the likes of Richard Bennett, Bryan Sutton, John Bowman, Amy Gallatin & Stillwaters, Mike Scott & Friends, Balsam Range, Becky Buller, and the Roys.
